Recently I visited the Billy Graham Library, Home Place and Prayer Garden in Charlotte, NC. What a truly uplifting experience!!
The library setting is that of a dairy farm reminiscent of Billy Graham's upbringing. The Home Place is the actual home that Billy grew up in, although it has been moved several times from it's original location. Ruth Graham, Billy's wife, is buried in the Prayer Garden, set in a wooded area with log benches. Such a beautiful peaceful place!
I took two photos that I'd like to share.

Real nice place. Free is always a plus!
What a beautiful place ! Great shots ,Sue .
I never even knew it existed . Sounds interesting
It was very interesting, Vivian! You need atleast 1 1/2 hrs to 2 hrs to see it all!!
Beautiful buildings and setting.
Thanks... it really was pretty!
nice thanks for sharing..
What a wonderful place Sue, thanks for taking us with you.
Thanks and you are very welcome, j r!
Awesome. :)
Oh Sue, how incredible....I am soooo envious! You know, this is so ironic, but I was just thinking about taking a trip there.........I love Billy Graham, ever, ever sooooo much and that would be one very wonderful trip!!!!! It's so far away from Iowa, I guess we'd have to fly or possibly take Amtrak out there..........I think it would be an incredibly inspirational trip, though.........how long does it take to go through the library? Is there a gift shop there?
You would really enjoy it, Nora! You need ATLEAST 1 1/2-2 hrs. to "see" it all... and longer if you read EVERYTHING there! The people are so friendly and there is so much interesting things to see. And, yes, there is a gift shop and a small cafe. If you ever decide to come, let me know, I'd love to meet up with you!
Maybe we could take like a short 3-day trip, if I could find some great airline bargains.....LOL!!!!!!! Hmmmm, am gonna have to check into that one as well....right now, I think we may be going to California over the Christmas holiday!!!
Well, let me know if you decide to come to Charlotte!
Wonderful photos. The buildings and the property are beautiful.
It was lovely, Kat! Thanks!
That place is just gorgeous! Wonderful photos. I wish I lived a lot closer, that would be awesome to visit
Wow, it's really pretty! We see signs for the Billy Graham library every time we drive through Charlotte on our way to WV but have never stopped there. Since it's free (Yay!) maybe we'll drop by sometime if we have extra time. I'd love to break the trip to WV up sometime into two days instead of one so that we can stop at sights along the way.
Beautiful photos too by the way!
Victoria, even the kids would like it. They have a annimated "talking cow" and cat laying on a barrel. It's really a pretty place and not far off the highway!
I just mentioned it to hubby and made him come over and look at your pics. Hehe. Haley & Parker would love that talking cow! I want one! LOL
very nice place and lovely shots.
Thanks for your nice comments, Buzzy!
Looks like a lovely place!
That sure is one fancy house he grew up in. That does look like an interesting sit to visit.
Thank you for the information. As always, great photos.
site to visit. oops!
only two photos? I probably would have come back with 100. Looks like a beautiful place to take photos
