Walking around my yard today, I was pleasantly surprised to find a few blooms this much into autumn. I thought that I'd share them with you. Also, I was hoping that someone might know the names of the blooms.
Notice the butterfly in this one:

Wish I knew what these were called. They were planted years ago, and I guess I must have just liked how they looked without knowing what they were called.

Caught this little guy pretending to be a wild honeysuckle. Couldn't get too close. I was afraid a snake would come out of the thick vines.

I took this one just because it looked lush and inviting to me.

I call this next one A Bug's Eye View.

This is kind of a screw up, the last rose of the season, but I think I like the effects.

I don't know what this next one is actually called, but I think it should be called lavender kisses, lol.

This next one reminds me of a hiding place, like the one my brother and I had as kids by the officer's club in Germany. We used to sit under a willow and peek into a mullioned window that looked down into the club and spy on whoever happened to be there that day.

THis next one I took was for a perspective shot, but it reminds me of how my youngest son used to, when he was about two years old, go outside, look up the trees, and cry, saying, "The trees are falling! The trees are falling." We finally figured out that it was because of the Christmas tree that fell from its stand a few months before.

The next two haven't been doctored. I purposely went too close to play around with effects.

I forgot that I had this. It was sitting behind my pool fence . . . which as you can see, needs replacing.

I sometimes think I live in paradise. I love my front, woody lawn.

I loved how the sun was playing through the trees.
Another shot from my front yard. We still have a lot of green leaves about.

This hurt when I stepped on it. So did all the stickers I walked into. Guess shoes would have been a good idea.

I like to pull a rocker under this one and read.

Isn't fall lovely!

One of my dogwoods. Makes a pretty pic.

Please click on this one individually and you can read a little poem I added to the description line.

WHat a great cerulean sky!!

In transition.

Hope you enjoyed the walk around my property with me. I'll post more another day.
Be blessed, my friends. We live in a lovely world.

Great pics, love the beauty and simplicity one finds in nature!
We live among the forest too, but this week about fifty percent of the trees lost their leaves.
That would be a place you could do a lot of writing from, all the life that would come around. :)
