After downloading the images in my camera (Canon SX100si) after my usual daily "walkabout" this morning, I at first thought there couldn't possibly be any unifying factor to the wide range of subjects in the images that I found there...
Then I realized it was all about "textures"...
The tiny (approx. 1/8") magenta colored flowers of the native "chaparral pea" give it a unique set of "textures"...
The repeating curves of these rusted springs of an old automobile seat represent a completely different value...
The light and shadow play across the surface of this piece of weathered redwood burl...
Whereas the mottling of the foliage of my "variegated golden privet" plant lend a different quality...
The highly reflective surfaces of this collection of old chrome bumpers show another type of texture altogether...
As do the "whorls" of my hanging "burro's tail" succulent plant...
It is the stark contrasts in textures that make this old "Fordomatic" emblem still stand out after all these years of neglect...
I hope you've enjoyed seeing all of these different textures through my camera lens... What different types of textures surround YOU?

I'd like to know tho, how do you create a stroy board as you did above?
Beautiful photos, Jean... :-)
I'm not sure I understand exactly what you mean by "how" I "create" an article like this...
Do you mean "technically" how do I put the images in the article or do you mean "creatively" how do I come up with what I'm going to include in it?
I'd be happy to help you any way that I can but I need just a bit more specific info from you... :o)
ROFL
waht does ROFLMBO mean?
Thanks so MUCH, Rose! I know you have quite an eye for textures -- as evidenced by your wonderful "clay/mud" essay!!! :^D
Poor, poor LISA! If I was closer, I'd come by and watch your TV... They turned off our satellite TV a couple of days ago because we couldn't pay the bill... :^(
The hanging basket of burro's tail made me hungry for grapes. LOL
Grapes.... ROFL!
