Below is an opportunity for all you erotic romance writers that was passed along
to me by one of my horror writers. I've talked to the woman who is doing
this and she sent me the following info. If you're interested, follow up
with her directly....
Minnette :)
EMAIL FROM ALICIA @ COURTESAN TAPESTRY I need erotic stories told
from a male perspective for a podcast type woman's audio magazine that
launches the beginning of June. The story requirements are between
4000 and 6000 words which will equal a half hour show that will run once
a week and will be downloadable with subscription to the site through an
email link. Payment is based on subscribers at 50 cents per download
with a minimum payment of $10.00 US dollars if the story is accepted.
The story, if accepted, will become the property of Courtesan Tapestry
for five years from the date of acceptance, at which time the story
rights will revert back to the writer and the recordings will be
destroyed. Since I'm expecting a much higher rate of subscriptions
than what $10.00 a story would originally come in at 50 cents per
download (ie, fifty paying subscribers) the payments could be and
probably will after the first few months, higher than the minimum $10.00
renumeration. Please have anyone who is interested contact me at
Submissions@courtesantapestry.com
<mailto:Submissions@courtesantapestry.com> . Writers will be
asked to sign a contract upon acceptance which will lay out the terms.
Writers will be responsible for their own income taxes on money recieved
from Courtesan Tapestry. I'm looking forward to working with
everyone. I'll be writing the first few stories while I work out the
technical kinks involved in any sort of internet business so I'm looking
for submissions for July 2009 and beyond. There will be a
sample story available for any writers to listen to by the middle of
next week so everyone can get a feel for the type of reader I have
contracted to me. I don't think anyone will be disappointed.
Thankyou so much for you help, and honestly, I wish I'd though of
contacting Jenny a year ago, it would have made some things much easier.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me at this
address. thankyou very much, alicia.

This is one genre I've actually never dabbled in, Minnette. But then since I'm not a man, I guess I wouldn't qualify anyway!
Actually, it just needs to be from the male point of view...I've written three book now from the male POV and it's been a blast, but only one is a little erotic. I know there are a lot of romance writers out there who have either already written in this genre....or would like to ~teehee~ :)
Not my genre, but it sounds like a nice opportunity.
All I have to say is: Jeepers cats, man! Interesting opportunity. Although this is not my genre either--I write general fiction (Peripheral View - Langdon Street Press), I enjoy writing from the male pov sometimes too. Sounds like fun.
Thanks for passing the news along Minnette. Great opportunity. I am featuring this on The Romantics.
