Well, as some of you know, the members of Gather, particularly those that are members of Artistic Minds® have collaborated together on many ventures.
Art collaboration blends the minds and ideas of many members into one, beautiful pieace of work. It's both inspiring to partake in as well as inspiring to view.
This is a panel explaining the student's work.

What I really liked about all these panels, aside from the bright colors, is that they used a variety of textures and mediums.
Like this one that uses glass bits and feathers in the corners.

This one also uses the glass aquarium stones as well as sequins.

Glass bits, aquarium stones and confetti are used here.

This one is a bit different with the yin yang and the Asian writing.

I like how simple, clean and unified this one is.

This one is pretty visually interesting with all the textures and the designing.

Another nicely pulled together one.

This one, unlike the others, added seashells and sand - bits of the earth that they are wishing for peace on.

I hope you've enjoyed viewing these student's collaborations as much as I did.

How very cool! Actually gives me some more ideas for a project I've had in mind some time now. I'm doing a mosaic of a peace sign for a friend of ours - to be used as a working outdoor stepping stone.
It has to withstand the weather and not come apart. I'd like to use some glass but the galss pieces are slippery so I have to consider different glass. I do have non-slip pieces, but I want to use other materials as well.
Rose, that sounds like it'll be beautiful once completed. Please tell me you'll post it on Gather when you are finished with it.
I'm glad to hear these panels helped you with ideas for it. One can never have too many ideas. :)
You got some great photos! They are all so bold and vivid!
Thanks. I liked how they varied so much while expressing THEIR view of peace. Pretty neat.
very nice essay of photos
Thanks
It's always fascinating to see what happens when several artists use similar materials in mixed media pieces. I enjoyed each one of those posters.
It is and moreso how they use them with the same theme. It fascinates me seeing the thought processes and outcomes of such projects.
I'm so glad that you enjoyed their work.
I really did! Thanks.
Thewse are some terrific pics Jennifer!! Loved your essay!
The collaboration and common theme as well as use of mandala works well. Thanks for your review, Jennifer N. Your article is now featured at artful.gather.com.
