I found a wonderful parlor in Hawthorne, NJ to get my tattoo:
SilkCity
It worked out well and I fear this is going to be addicting!
I picked the eagle and had it positioned on my left shoulder blade that has issues staying in socket. There is lots of pain there always so I had the eagle placed there to 'reinforce it with strength' since the eagle takes the winds of storms and turbulance and uses it to propel himself forward. I like to think I am capable of that, too!
Thank you for going on this journey with me!
Truly,
Susan
P.S. The rose is the tattoo my son got in memory of his grandfather (my father-in-law) who passed away with Christopher by his side. Grandpa had a Tokyo Rose from his time in Korea ... I guess Christopher has the Hawthorne rose! The same artist did both our tattoos.

My son and I are already planning the next and we did not even heal from the 1st!
Thank you, Nick from SilkCity!!! See you soon, again!
Nice ink! And I love the idea of sympathetic magic (the strength of the eagle giving your shoulder strength). My family's experience with tatoos was like a National Geographic special. All of us and my middle daughter's boyfriend went to a studio all together. We had planned the trip for months, shared design ideas, etc. This was at the end of the summer, and my children were entering the "nearly adult" phase. We kind of celebrated the event by all getting tatoos. This is something I've wanted to do for years and years. What kind of freaked out the owner and artists was that we all came in together, all had our own artwork and occupied all the artists at the same time, chit-chatting across the hallways while the process was going on. It was actually fun, and, yes, like you I feel that it's probably going to be addictive, though it took me fifty years to get the first one, so it'll probably be a while before I get another!
I have to wait until the beginning of next year as I am having hip surgery in November and need Johnnie placed where he will not be 'harmed'!
Yes, Sandre he also will be there to strengthen my hip as he was always at my hip and had the strength to be a huge support. I am certain as my angel he will continue!
U wishing you laughter
