Why Does Swine Flu Kill Healthy People?

One major question many people have which isn't being answered by the government reports or the mainstream media is just why the Swine Flu may be killing the healthiest individuals rather than the weak and elderly.

How do you feel gather???????

People have no defenses built up and when infected the body's own defensive systems are triggered to a powerful extent.

Babies and older adults have weak immune systems which is why they are vulnerable to complications from the usual yearly flu - they tend to get pneumonia and other opportunistic infections after being weakened further by the yearly flu, but don't have systems which really react strongly to the flu itself either because they are young and have weak immune systems or are older and have many past flu infections to strengthen the specific immunity factors which are the same for many flu strains.

What happens with young and healthy patients is that their immune systems react so strongly that they can triggers something known as a "cytokine storm".

A little knowledge. Without doing a thorough evaluation of each patient who has become ill with Swine flu you have no way of knowing how "healthy" they are e.g.. they may be under specific stresses which alter the immune system. But most likely healthy people (unlike babies and the elderly) are out and about more and therefore come in contact with sick individuals who cough or sneeze around them. No matter how healthy you are, if you exposed to a communicable illness for which you have no prior immunity, you will get some variant of the disease and then your immune system plus proper antivirals (in the case of swine flu) will help fight the infection.

It has been compared to the Spanish Flu of 1918-19 which also attacked ordinarily healthy individuals. No need to panic just yet. Spanish Flu had a mortality rate of about 30% and according to a friend who is an infectious diseases specialist, this flu only has a mortality rate of 7% and that may be high because many of the people who get it don't go to a doctor and get well on their own.

yes swine flu will kill healthy people, but mainly the young and older will be worse off and more likely to get it

If you can strongly convict within yourself the belief that you can ultimately get through anything and heal virtually everything, this question should not be raised and the topic should be given less creedence than it does. Its a strain, we either are immune to it before being exposed directly or slowly over time. It kills healthy people because no preparation of the body for a flu to exist was made. Load up on Echinacea, Vitamin C, zinc and remove ALL refined white processed sugar and your immune system will kick any germs behind ! Your body will thank you and the flu will just roll past you offering a few sinus headaches, sniffles and a cough or two. Believe in your own healing power and you can beat everything, or at least only feel the least reaction to it.
