Today's question is....


What's your favorite holiday beverage? Non-alcoholic or alcoholic.

 

Mine is our "Slush", made with frozen lemonaide & alcohol, served scooped into a glass with Sprite overtop. Its the only time of the year we have it, making it seem even more special!

My favorite ... it's a hot drink made from spices, red hots, lemon heads, cider... I couldn't find the recipe last year, and the year before that I could not find the right kind of red hots anywhere. Still, even though the recipe is mislaid, it's still my favorite.

OR .... like Katherine M, a nice cold glass of sweet tea.

I usually only drink either lemonade, water, or sometimes root beer. I don't drink alcohol but, once per year, on New Year's Eve, with only a quarter glass, and the rest, lemonade.

I love Eggnog both non and alcoholic, plus wine, of course, and a good Lemon Vodka drink, yours sounds fabulous.

I rarely drink alcohol except for special occasions, my favorite drink, except for coffee, is lemons and water.

If we decide to have alcohol, my husband (used to be a bar tender) makes High Balls. That is a family tradition from long before I was even old enough to have alcohol.
For non-alcoholic, we have egg nog and whatever punch one of us chooses to make.

I make a punch with cranberry juice, lemon-lime soda and frozen lemonade. I add enough red food color to give it a burgundy color. I put greens around the punch bowl with a few red berries or faux poinsettias and tiny white lights. It's pretty and the punch is refreshing.

My grandma had the best eggnog recipe but I have never liked eggnog. I hate that. (isn't that silly?) She made a great 'peachy drink' that I liked, with frozen peaches and gin, I think.... but hot chocolate on christmas morning is still the favorite.

Mine is Irish Coffie: Strong coffee; one shot of Bushmill's Irish Whiskey ( never Bailey's Irish Cream); 1 TBL raw sugar; top with whipped cream. Yum-Yummy

don't drink alcohol- usually drink hot tea year round- if not that then cranberry juice, hot cocoa is good though on occasion
