Update on my Granny

A few weeks ago I wrote a post about my granny who wasn't feeling well,and asked for prayers for her.She went to urgent care and they told her that she had phnumonia so they gave her some Antibiotics and sent her on her way.A week went by and she wasn't feeling any better and it was getting harder to breathe so she went to the emergency room,where they x rayed her lungs and told her the unthinkable.She had a mass on her lung,she had begun losing an awful lot of weight a few months prior to this and we couldn't figure out why. Her Doctor was also worried about the wight loss and did mass amounts of blood work but came up empyt.They scheduled her for a biopsy and she went and it came back that she has small cell carcinoma which we thought since it was small cell that it would be easier to treat .This is not the case,according to her encologist the smaller the cells the faster it spreads and when it is finally big enough to see on a scan it probably already has.Well she has had a bone scan and it came up clean but today she has a petscan and i'm worried. She already started the chemo and big handfulls of her hair already started to fall out so last night my aunt shaved her head for her.She said she didn't cry because she knew it was going to happen,but I did,This woman has been around me every day of my life and I never thought I would watch her go through anything like this.I am holding out hope that she will beat this as my mother is just in remission from colon cancer.Please pray for her there are so many people who love her and need her in their lives .Thank you for reading my post.
