I don't go out caroling, no. I do go to several different churches as a soloist though. My mom's church (in Florida) invites me every year to sing at the services on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I also sing in my own church(in VA) as a soloist during most of Advent.

*If you happen to be in Williamsburg, Va during any Sunday in Advent, you'll see me :)

No, but two great local choirs come carolling every year. I supply mincepies and mulled wine (for the adults) with mulled apple juice for the under 18s!

I haven't gone carolling in years and years. (And whatever voice I had then has vanished!) Our little city has strolling carollers during this season, tho', it's lovely!

I went caroling many moods ago; once in Chicago... but it's just not as much fun without the snow. Somehow the atmosphere just doesn't do it.

ummmm - no. In school, the choir was taken to all the nursing homes in town, which was the extent of my caroling experiences.

Matter of fact, I am the one who takes the teens out where I work to go caroling. We practice for a week or so each evening ...then we head out to sing.

I live in a pretty dangerous area and would probably get shot if I tried to go out caroling. I do go and sing Christmas songs during karaoke right before Christmas though. Quite a few of us do it.

When I was a child people would come and sing for us, as a teen I decide to pay it forward, so I gathered friends and we went caroling, excited and cheery we stopped in front of this huge house all decorated with lights,trees [yes plural as in more then one] and we started to sing our heads off, when suddenly all the lights went out and we stood in total darkness on their lawn, determined to finish the song we continued singing and the man came out in his bathrobe and said "shut the *ell up and get off my property before I call the police" and then slammed the door shut. We girls, walked away crying and the boys scowling and I haven't caroled since. So my answer is No.

not since i was young, here in our little village young people would go caroling 11 PM on Christmas Eve, but usually I am asleep by then do I don't know if they did it this year or last year. Northwest Alaska- and it is cold on Christmas Eve! It takes a young hearty soul to go out in 20 below weather that late at night. When I was young we used to go to my cousins house afterward and warm up with hot cocoa and she would usually have cake or brownies ready for us too. It was fun, some years we would do that even in blizzard conditions.
