Media Bytes by Susan* Week 7....... Holiday Edition

In my meanderings here on gather, I have discovered marvels, mischief, miracles and media masterpieces of one sort or another. So in the spirit of community I decided to share with you some of the media bytes I've found among the pages here on gather.   

As the holidays are quickly approaching, I've cookies, cakes and pies to be baked, last minute cards to be sent, gifts to wrap and believe it or not one last gift I forgot to purchase which I must brave the crowds to buy! (If you don't hear from me after the New Year please check my local mega mall and look for the strawberry blonde smushed in the corner......it could be me!) YIKES! The idea of dealing with all the bargain hunting crazies has me worried. But I'm decked out in my holiday garb complete with my "Santa, I can explain!" socks, so I'm ready to go. Let the last minute shopping begin! 

Since everyone is going to be busy, yours truly as well for the next week or so. This is a special HOLIDAY EDITION designed especially to pass along holiday cheer to one and all! The items included here are all of a holiday theme. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did. I think they all are fantastic examples of the way the holidays affect each and  every one of in different ways!  So, until next time, I wish you and yours the most very Merry of Christmas and the Happiest Holidays ever. Paris Hilton's Christmas List by Mike Ball is one of those articles that will either make you shake your head in disbelief or laugh out loud! I personally liked what his son said....he sounds like a kid with his head firmly on his shoulders! Check it out!   

Muffett, Gertie & Wheezy by Robert B.  I always enjoy work by Robert but I have to admit...this is one of his best! For those who do not know Robert, he was a wonderful way with words and a way of touching young and old with his images and words. Check this one out and share it with the child in your life (despite the age) I promise you won't be sorry!

This Image by Suzi (who turned left instead of right) and vanished out of sight is great! Suzi brings a smile to your face with her images each and every day and this one is no different. See why this one brought a sunny smile to me on one of the foggiest days of the year!    

This Image by April H. is so special! April has an image here that touches the heart and soul and reminds me of the true meaning of Christmas. A warm image that was taken with compassion and the spirit of the season, it is one you will not want to miss.

Merry Christmas to all our troops!!! by Bhawana BUSY BUZZY B.  Bhawana sent this message to our troops who are so far away this holiday season. Bhawana's true caring shows in this video and shows all too well how folks all over gather truly want to send greetings to our men and women serving our country.   

Merry Christmas to Our Armed Forces Overseas by Spinnaker (Holding Spartan hostage till he comes thru with the Christmas Treats)*  What can I say about Spartan's videos except they will touch your heart in a way you never dreamed possible. This video is a true expression of caring from a man who has served his country with pride. I know this one will mean so very much to so very many!    

Merry Christmas Troops From The Falls of The Big Sioux River by Dan (Santa is a Cowboy) V.   The images in this video are mesmerizing and soothing to the hectic holiday soul. Just as Dan's cowboy tree brought smiles last week, this video brings another sort of smile. One of quiet appreciation for the simple joys of the season.
