Media Bytes by Susan*.....Week 6

In my meanderings here on gather, I have discovered marvels, mischief, miracles and media masterpieces of one sort or another. So in the spirit of community I decided to share with you some of the media bytes I've found among the pages here on gather.    

Holy Cow folks! I KNEW I shouldn't have mentioned ice and snow last week...on Tuesday we ended up with one heck of a storm AGAIN (trust me, I won't be jinxing myself again anytime soon!) But, believe it or not, when I was iced in with nothing to do but search the pages of gather, I had one heck of a good time! ( you know folks, there is something to be said for living with a literal ice skating rink surrounding your house!) LOL   

Honestly, one of my favorite things to do is finding new and interesting posts here on gather and am really excited to share them with you now. Let me know what you think of them....I'd love to hear your opinions. I think they are pretty darn good myself, but of course, as always...that's just one woman's opinion! :-D  

Have fun wandering the pathways of gather and don't worry if you get lost along the way...sometimes getting lost is the best way to find the best stuff! So welcome to my media world...I hope you find something here that makes you stop and smile, life is too darn short folks, to be frowning! ENJOY! :-D

Oh Boy, did Sue S.tell tales out of school when she dished on the gather holiday party in I Had A Gather Christmas Party, And It Was A Disaster!. I want to go on record here as saying that Donny croons like nobody's business and that I'll put him up against Manilow any day, no matter WHAT Amanda C.says. Geez already, can't you give a gal a break? 

I really think you're going to enjoy this series written by Barbara B. entitled The Bluebonnets of Texas. Barbara just posted the 12th part of the series, and I am so fascinated by the stories she weaves of Spirit Crow and Little Feather that I had to share my find here with all of you. Check out Part one and go from there. I promise you, it's a wonderful story filled with history and characters that you will soon fall in love with, I know I have!

You know as well as I do, that there is nothing like a cowboy to make a gal's heart go pitter pat! Well, almost nothing like it.... Dan (Santa is a Cowboy) V. 's article, A Cowboy Christmas Tree is one of the neatest Christmas articles I think I've seen so far on gather. I'm one of those people who is a sucker for theme trees anyway, so this one really appealed to me when I saw it. I think my favorite part of the entire tree was the cool red and teal boot. I wonder if it's too late to put my order in with the man in the red suit for a pair of those? I mean, a woman can't wear CROCS all the time, can she? ;-)   

This image by John S.is one of those, "wow that's cool, how did you do it?" images....I liked it and think if you check it out, you might agree with me that it has a mysterious aura about it too!

I can't believe that in the midst of moving, Nana to Seven Cutiepies found time to post this Image. Now I want to go visit and see it for myself! Too cool! Get that guest room ready Nana, I'm on my way in your direction!
