I Just Started reading The Time Travelers Wife

i really want to read this before i see the movie i am going to buy it tomorrow

I bought that book myself and am currently reading it. I don't care for the way it is jumping around but I guess it has to if it stays in consistency with the characters. It is very nicely written though.

you are right about the jumping around ....sometimes he is three different ages and Clare is the same age

books are usually so much better than the movie version .......glad to hear you are thiinking about getting the book ....the only problem was the cost for me

I bought it at a used book sale and got a beautiful hardcover copy for $1.

that was my pick for our bookgroup book in June. I liked it, but most of the ladies in my group were not that thrilled with it.

i USUALLY READ SCIFI..OR PARANORMAL TYPE BOOKS SO MAYBE THEY DIDN'T LIKE THAT SCI FI PART OF THE STORY .....OF COURSE i DON'T KNOW THE WHOLE STORY YET ....i MIGHT AGREE WITH THEM LOL

Always nice when we can get that much enjoyment out of a book. :) I haven't heard that much about it, yet.

I, too, am reading "The Time Traveler's Wife." I've had it in my to-read pile for a couple of months but, like you, am reading it now so I can see the movie after I read the book.

I'll review it when I finish the book. But I have to say now that I can't agree with you 100 percent. I don't think it's one of the better books I've read. At the same time, I do like it and will keep reading it. If I don't like a book, I don't waste more time on it.

I like the dialog in this book, and it's full of dialog. But I passed the halfway point last night and am still expecting it to be more than a series of first-he's-here-then-he-comes-back-then-he's-there-then-he-comes-back. If it turns out to be just that, I won't be giving it a good review, and I'll expect that the screen writer for the movie had a lot of work to do.

I finished the book and wrote a review of it. Guess what: I loved it. Isn't that funny? Yes, I definitely will see the movie when it comes out later this month. Usually I wait for movies to be on DVD, but this I won't wait for.

I finished the book last night ....I too loved it .....still wondering how they will do the time traveling scenes so it wont seem weird........ now, I am not sure I will see the movie in a public theater.....ever since I saw Terms of Endearment at the theater and cried and cried and cried until I looked like some freaky lobster woman/monster , (then had to go to dinner like that ) LOL I promised myself that ANY movie that I might cry during would be saved for video. ....but I still MIGHT go .....I am thinking about it ...truely ....thx for your comment

I loved that book and will actually see the movie.

I am loving reading it now and will go see the movie ...I am curious to see how they do the time travel so you will still know whats going on, in the movie version.

I am nearing the end of the book ....I am still having trouble putting it down and I know this will be a book I will think about after I finish reading it . It's not the best book ever published but it touches something in my emotional self and I need to find out what happens to these two people

I just bought this book today and I can't wait to read it! I loved Rachel McGowen in the Notebook and as an actress overall and I bet she will do great in this movie. I will wait to see it after I read the book.
