A watched clock never ticks..........

Last night my son spent the night at his friends house for the very first time, he has never spent the night away, he is only 7. We are very close with the parents of the little boy, and I know he would be well taken care of, but it seemed like the longest night ever. woke up this morning at 4:30 and got ready for the day, since  then I have just been waiting for an apropriate time to go pick him up but it just seems like the clock is not moving fast enough.

lol, don't worry, you will get over that! i used to be the same way, but now i love it when my daughter gets invited to spend the night somewhere.
but at first, it was very hard to let her go.

I remember doing the same thing when my girls first started staying over at their friends. They had stayed at their dads (His mom lived with him). But a friend even though I knew the parents it still was an ordeal the first several times. Hang in there mom. :)

This made me laugh. I raised 4 kids. One girl, three boys. My daughter is the oldest by 5 years on the next one. When she started the sleepover thing at about 7 years old I would have to go get her every time in the middle of the night because she would cry and claim to be sick. This went on for about a year before she decided that sleepovers were fun. I never had the pick me up in the middle of the night problem with my boys.

You'll get used to it. We had a lot of slumber parties in those days too.
