Not so newly weds

Around Gather you will hear me refer to him as my "amazing husband" or my "wonderful husband" but at home I call him "my heart" or "honey bunny".

My husband and I will have been together for 10 years this year, and I am so pleased to be able to honestly say after almost a decade I wake up everyday loving him more than I did they day before. He truly is my very best friend, the person who I share everything with. I not only LOVE him, I LIKE him, I CARE about him, and I RESPECT him. Don't get me wrong, we have our fair share of arguments, no relationship is above that, but we always manage to pull together and work it out.

I am not a very clingy person, I cannot have one of those chaotic crazy in love relationships. We are friends, best friends, we are nice to each other, I am comfortable just being me with him. Neither of us is perfect, but there is nothing I would change about him.

That is so sweet! Tomorrow hubby and I are celebrating our 10 year anniversary and I feel the same way. We are best friends and I really like and respect him. I love him more with every year that passes. It's wonderful and we are fortunate to have relationships like these (nothing like my first marriage LOL)

Oh Stacey, Congratulations and Happy Anniversary! My parents did not have a happy marriage and they did the whole "stay together for the kids" thing so I didn't know what I wanted out of a marriage but I did know what I did NOT want in my marriage.

That is super. It's nice to hear that some people still stay together and actually love each other more and more. That's the way it should be.

That is so great Elle. Happy Anniversary to you and your husband. Happy Anniversary to Stacy and her husband. My husband and I just got married December 6, 2008 after being together for 10 years. Really nothing has changed but the fact that we now share a name. WE still are the couple we were all those years.

Aww... so sweet. I'm not married yet, but can't wait to be. My fiance is my best friend and always has been. High school sweethearts! I love him so much and want to continue to share every experience with him. This is a good change from all the divorce and horror stories i've heard so much.

I know what you mean Laurie, we have not been married 10 years (I'm only 26) but we have been together for almost 10 years, we had our 1st before we were married, and we lived together and functioned as a married couple for a long time before we actually got married. It is nice to have the same last name, but it didn't change much else in our relationship.

I am so happy for you Ashley, there are alot of people out there who have positive stories to share, but they sometimes do get overclouded by the bad ones. I am so happy for you. Its great to hear stories like this. With so many people out there who don't fight to make it, its very nice to hear a love story. I have been with my boyfriend for 18 months and we are very in love too. We rarely fight and when we do I feel really crappy. I try to live each day of our relationship like it is the last time I have with him. I enjoy every minute I spend with him!
