My Journey

      As some of you know this last year has been really hard for me and my family.   I lost my husband last year and he left behind 3 children for me to raise.  Our kids are 3, 7 and 16.  People respond to a major loss in different ways.  I took it as a major wake up call from God.  I have been dancing around my faith for years, but I felt that God was giving me a major wake up call.  I know with all my heart that I could not have made it through this past year if he wasn't carrying me.  I had to be strong for my kids and keep us going.  

In my journey I met some people that I feel that God sent to me.   One is a fitness instructor  where I exercise and she invited me to her bible study.  I shy away from these things, but I felt compelled to go.  I don't attend church regularly and am not the bible thumper type.    I have made some really good friends and they really really helped me with my walk with God and also with their understanding and support.  One minister that I was introduced that really resonated with me is Joyce Meyers.  She is a no nonsense type of preacher.
