I've wanted one of these forever. I got some cash for my birthday and finally decided this was what I was going to buy with it.
It fits over two burners on your stove top. It is reversable and has a grill side and a flat side. You can cook just about anything you would cook on a grill or in a pan, on it. It works great, cleans up easily and will last a lifetime. As with all cast iron, it is very heavy.
They sell for over 70 dollars on their website, but I got mine at Kroger for just under $55.
So far I give it 10 stars.
We've tested it by cooking the following so far...
Big fat juicy Ribeye steaks.
Ginger Teriyaki chicken breasts.
Good old fashioned cheese burgers (yes there is one there in the middle for Gizmo).
And even bacon!
Mmm, breakfast!

Kim, I was thinking of you when I was buying this and everytime I use it too! John, my John is the cross hatch king when he cooks on the grill. I had to prove that I could do that too.
Lera, I'm impressed with your cinnamon rolls! You're going to love that bread maker for making pizza dough too, I bet.
Oh Kim, yes they are spoiled. John is the worst about spoiling her, he insists that she gets cheese on her burgers and she never gets any food cold from the fridge. He always makes sure to warm it up for her in the nuker.

I just got $40 in gc for Amazon from one of my survey places I belong to...and have been debating what to get with them. Of course I want EVERYTHING...but this would be something to add to my hat when it comes time to draw of what I want. LOL

Kim, it was a month and a half ago, I just was having a really hard time deciding what I wanted. I really want a set of enameled cast iron cookware. But, I know when I buy it I'm going to be stuck with what I choose for the rest of my life. I can't decide which ones to get. The color is what's really sticking me. Mom bought that really expensive brand..way back in the early 70's. She picked orange....she hates it now but there is nothing wrong with it and even when the handles wear out they send her new ones free. So, she has no excuse to replace it. She's bummed. I don't want to be bummed. :(

Lori, I have a George Foreman, mom got me the new generation one or whatever its called. I liked my original one, it was small but it rocked. The newer one dosen't get hot enough for us...it was almost 100 bucks and its been a big disappointment. In fact, if I can find an old orignal at a garage sale, I'll junk this one and buy it.
