Many years ago, when I first went online, I noticed that a lot of people on the food chats spoke about what they were cooking that day, what worked for them, the real winners that they found.
I decided right there that I was going to make a list of the recipes each week that I made, the real winners, and put the recipes into Mastercook and once a week post them at these specific lists and chats I was on.
Well, they became quite a big deal with the folks I was sending them to.
I made a list of the personal folks who asked for the recipes be sent to their email box each week. I started spending who-knows-how-long posting the recipes to each of these separate people. I did this for a very long time.
It got tiring. I talked to my husband about it. He suggested that I make my own website and post the recipes there once a week and just tell folks to go to the website to get the recipes. So he was the webmaster, he put it together, and I did just that. That is how Risa's Food Service began.
Now several years later, and hundreds and hundreds of recipes later, I am still posting the recipes there - at geocities. I love my website, even with its problems.
My husband didn't know html and the geocities website well-enough to be able to make it so that when you click on the recipe in the archives you get the exact recipe. So, you have to scroll down to get to the recipe most of the times.
I figured out how to fix some of the other problems that were popping up when putting the recipes in.
So, now I let the world of Gather know about my wonderful website. It is a very simple website, just this weeks recipes, last weeks recipes and the archive. The picture part of it isn't working right now. The Guest book works and I delete a lot of junk from it. So if you are going to write in it, leave me a pleasant message, not spam. I will not allow spam in my book. I will delete it immediately.
Anyway, Risa's Food Service is at http://www.geocities.com/radiorlg
Please go and enjoy.
There is This Weeks Winners (which are last week's recipes that I made) and Last Week's Winners (which are the week before's winners) and the archive.
Enjoy!

And I know I have mentioned this to you before, but I love your "notes" section.
I just looked at your web site. You sure have a lot of recipes in there. Thanks for sharing your site with us. I'll go back sometime and see what I want to try. As you know, I'm always looking for new recipes to try.
