Back on January 8th I did some referring and got a new member here. In the past as soon as one of my referrals joined I got a bit of points. To date I have seen nothing I am not the only person to have this happen to them. Now some of you out there may say you dont get points for referrals. Actually yes you do. I have this email from Chuck McGuire of Gather Support that states it.
Here is what he told me.
"Hi Bryan,
I’m sorry about that. In my absence, one of my colleagues gave you some bad information. Although we don’t usually reveal specifics like this, I must correct the mistake by telling you that you should in fact earn points if your invitations are accepted and new members join Gather. That is one of the several ways that points are earned on Gather. It is not reliant on any special promotion.

So now what. My reply to this was to ask if I was going to see my point for my referral and have never heard back yet. Sigh!

If members join through your special invite link, and the site identifies that the member joined Gather (via the accepted invites listing), then your earnings should reflect the credit. It may no longer be 50 or 75 points, but you should still get something.
Are you certain the person you invited followed all steps and certified their account?
Do they appear on your "accepted invites" listing?
Thanks for the follow-up on this. It's good to know that Gather has changed their earning system and that it no longer pays (directly) to invite others to the community. I'll pass it on!
