State Study With The Kids

We are in our 2nd week of studying the states as they entered the union. We are working on Georgia and New Jersey this week. Obviously we have covered all the basics (state capitals, highest point, state bird ) and things of that nature. I thought it might be neat to see how many of you could share some facts that we havent covered. If you know anything about these states please share. It can be educational stuff , funny stuff, scary stories, anything! Thanks Im looking forward to seeing your comments and sharing them with my children.

Not sure if this helps but Newark International (EWR) Airport in NJ is one of the top 20 busiest US airports..I've never been to GA..when you get to fun facts on CT, I'll be able to supply some stuff!
