I am not commenting on images without captions. I don't mean to be critical, but how are we to know who or what we're viewing? If you care enough to post it, and I care enough to comment on it, then, let's have a caption. Okay?
I get annoyed with so many images with no captions. I sometimes do comment on them, though, however I never rate ones without a caption. Most of the time my comment to them will be something along the line of please give some sort of description for your photo or where is this.
I agree on quite a few of the images...there are some of those that are self explanatory, but some of them I wonder what it is, or who it is (not that there need to be specific names).
How much explanation do you need if someone takes a picture of a butterfly or flower or something? There's hundreds of them on here. Do you really need help understanding them?
I have an image making fun Larry Craig and another making fun of George Bush. I think they are self explanatory and if they don't make sense to someone, a caption isn't going to help so much.
I hope a lot of people read this and comply Carol. I agree. The caption adds so much to a photo and makes it more interesting. One of the best things is a back story about the photo and the very best of course is a photo essay. I'll still comment, but often have questions and would love to know more. Even the photos with caption can be vague sometimes.
