Towel Animals we had on the cruiseship...

Here are the towel animals that were in our room each night on the Navigator of the Seas......

The Elephant....

A side view...

Not sure what this was, maybe a 'person' relaxing? My son thought it was a bird....

A turtle with it's head sticking out.....

 

a swan......

the turtle in my DIL's parents room....(with the addition of 2 nightly chocolates on it!)

I was recently on Serenade of the Seas and had a towel monkey hanging from the ceiling. Now I wish I had taken a picture.

I couple of years ago I found a book describing how to make towel animals like this - I'm so disappointed that I didn't buy it then as I've not seen another copy since.

Those are so cute! I wish I had such a useful talent. I would scare the crap out of my kids...I would make scary animals, not cute ones...ones that would make them nervous to dry their butts with it...like spiders, snakes, and bats! hehehe OOOO! I would love to know how to make one that looked like a person, just a head and maybe a hand, I would SO stick it in someone's bed!

We've stayed in one hotel that did this nightly. They only did a big swan, and put rose petals around it. It makes you feel special doesn't it?

Robyn, did you get the monkey or the peacock? We came back from formal night and when we entered our room, the monkey was swinging from the bathroom door. It was so funny. Next night they did the peacock and used one of my 'Hawaiian' shirts in the tail. I swear they can create anything...

That is really neat my sister went on a cruise and they sold little toys that were made like each of the ones here but held together.

How cute! I love the elephant and the penguin the best. I've never seen anything like that before. I wish hotels would do things like that. My son would adore that.

I remember seeing them on the last cruise I took. It was awesome coming back to your room and wondering what animal they would have on your bed next. They used my sunglasses, off the dresser for many of the animals they made. I'm sure I still have the pics stored away somewhere. Come to think of it, that was the last time I took a vacation too. Lawd it's been almost five years! Am seriously overdue for another one thats for sure. Thanks for sharing and bringing back memories.

they always were so cute when you get back to your room...they had a different one each time....I wish they would have a cruise where they allow real pets....my 2 dogs have been with me through thick and thin....its always so hard to leave them behind....I considered them as part of my family....and I'm sure they love to go cruisin too...

All very cool! I stayed at a hotel in San Diego on Mission Point Beach, the surfer hotel, just last year and they always made a towel surfer dude for the middle of the bed, wore sunglasses too, not mine, but meant to keep!
