This write was inspired by my friend Heather C. (aka Chirplady) between her article this morning and the poem she wrote. Hugs and Blessings dear lady!
Love and Heaven
For many outside
it is hard to see
the love Jesus has
for you and for me
Especially when
so many he called near
are pushing away
all who can hear
The love of God
is totally unknown
to one who has lived
hurt and alone
we must give example
to all that we see
how Jesus has cared
for all, even me.
so next time you see
one broken and untold
walk up to them
and love them bold
If God can forgive
one such as me
take heart and live
for he forgives thee
Take back your life
that evil has stole
and make love and heaven
your only GOAL!

this is beautiful
Openly beautiful!! You and Heather are so inspiring. It's nice to see Heather inspires you as well!!
pretty
Please don't walk up to me and ask if I'm saved. I'm way past tired of that.
obviously you haven't read much of my writing. It is those that push people like you suggest that turn many away from Christians. I am to live as an example, and answer when asked, but i am not the type that think God is anything but personal choice.
It is really a good piece of sensitive writing.
Lisa,
I appreciate the poem and your caring spirit. I agree, it is not what we Christians say but how we live that makes a difference. I can understand why people like Chuck get turned off when so many "so called" Christians say one thing and live another.
I am sure it is a very difficult thing for one to accept the concept of the "new birth" if they never really see the presence of Christ in those who are His.
Beautifully said Lisa
Great writing Lisa
A nice personal testimony in verse.
I wish more Christians shared your approach, dear Lisa...
Love and hugs - S.
When you accept the love of God & Jesus, you have such peace in your heart...

Thanks, Lisa. I think at some point I decided that poetry should be submitted to Christians Seeking Peace. I might be wrong about that, but you can check if you like. I am trying to control the randomness of my 4 Christian groups and get them a little more in focus for readers. Prayer is also something that I don't usually approve. My belief is the local church is the place to take petitions for the most efficacy and I don't want to give the impression that the internet is going to make a big difference in this regard. People act like they are going to pray for someone, but rarely do in actuality.
Your faith is a rarity in todays world, Lisa. I can only hope to achieve the level of faith that you have reached before my final days.
You poured your heart into it, Lisa.
Wonderful as always!
I didn't know about this post. Wonderfully done!
emotional and just Lisa's heart
Thank you, Lisa.
Lovely Lisa Thank You
Very nice Lisa. Nice work like this helps remind us to 'keep our eye on the ball' so to speak.
