More Orchids are Blooming on My Back Porch!

     A week or so ago I posted an article about our                                                                 back porch (enclosed in glass) orchid blooming.

    Since then the first group have opened further.

    And now there is a second group open.

    And for the first time a third stem is budding!

    All of this in 50-60 degree temperatures!

They must like it where you have them! Do you give them any special care? How often do you fertilize them.... etc, etc!

Jimmy, they are gorgeous! contrary to what many people believe, orchids are hardy plants and quite resilient when not taken care of..... They are not "shrinking violets"

Beautiful! Don't you just love it when they bloom??!! I have a few that someone gave me that were in really bad shape. The lady knew I was good with plants, so she gave them to me to fix up, and keep, and it's always a surprise when one of them blooms for the first time...I love it!!!
