A Mothes Love : A Poem to my daughter Madeline

              Your Smile
          brightens my day
           Your kisses
           melt my heart
I have been wrapped around
        your tiny little finger
        from the very start
        The very first time
          that I saw you
    you were still growing
          in my womb
But at that very moment
right then and there I knew
I could never love another
with the Love I have for you
You are my first born child
            In my heart
a special place you hold
You will always be my baby
even when you have grown
and are ready to start a family
  with children of your own
    When that day comes
       my precious child
      you will understand
why I will always love you
         unconditionally
        till the very end

Amanda,
Your poem speaks of the mother's love that has been inside of me since my first born, a son, over 37 years ago. That is a love-a bond, that nothing can break or destroy or take away. Thanks for the words so nicely put. Madeline is a very fortunate girl to have some one to love and care for her as you do.

Lyla, Amanda, and Jr~ I do plan on printing this off and either putting it in her scrapbook, or her box of baby stuff, that I am saving for her, or possibly framing it.
