A nice image. It puts me in mind of Andrew Marvell's poem, "On a Drop of Dew": "See how the orient dew, / Shed from the bosom of the morn / Into the blowing roses, / Yet careless of its mansion new; For the clear region where 'twas born / Round in itself encloses... / So the soul, that drop, that ray / Of the clear fountain of eternal day..."

Cindy, to answer what brought this haiku to the surface:

I spent some time catching up on the posts of my connections last night, and there were so many posts that were about deep losses of parents, spouse's and children. I was sitting here, in the early a.m., weeping for their heartache and praying for them. I sought their comfort from God and this was what I penned in that state of mind.
