Haley was in her first play at school this evening.

Her school put on the play "Peter Rabbit".

Haley was a cabbage in Mr. McGregor's garden.

All of the kindergarten children were vegetables in the garden.

They sang and did motions to go along with the story in the play.

I posted a video of one of the songs which you can view by clicking here.

The play was really cute, and we were very proud of Haley.

And she didn't even get nervous! Guess all that dance stuff has paid off!

The photos aren't all that great, I know.

I had to try to take them around the guy in front of us who kept waving at whichever kid was his and thrusting his younger child up into the air.

Plus Parker kept bumping my arm.

All the children did a really great job. Not just Haley and her class.

We stayed for the entire thing. Most people left after their child's role was over, which I thought was sort of rude to the other kids who had also worked hard on learning the songs and all.

A Star is born!!!!
We think so, Amanda. LOL
I do too
Wonderful
Thanks.
Great Photo Essay
The video was very cute!
Thanks, Elaine!
Leaving before it's over is rude...I hate when people do that. They will for dance recital also.
I think you got some good photos...and how proud you must be.
I totally agree, I wlways get mad when people do that!
Thanks, Jax. Yeah, we thought it was really rude too. It wouldn't have hurt everyone to stick around and enjoy the complete concert. The entire school sang songs and put on a show. It was only about an hour, maybe an hour and a half, long I think. I didn't actually time it.
Cute little munchkin you have there!! Nice photo essay too! I know you are so proud of her!! She's a beautiful little girl!
Thanks, Deb.
Great photo essay!
Thanks, Bridget.
I'm not surprised that she didn't get nervous. She's a sweet little ham!
I'm glad she doesn't get nervous, and I hope she continues to be that way. I get so nervous in front of a room full of people that it's pathetic. I don't want her to be like that. It is not fun.
A 10 for ya!
Thanks, Kerrell!
That is cute and creative!! She looks really happy too - I can tell she knows you are proud of her. IT IS RUDE for people to leave early. That is awful that people did that!
I think so too, Kimber.
That looks like an awesome production!
It was really cute, Priscilla. The music director read the story while the children acted it out and sang songs and said things to go along with the story she was reading.
Oh, she's precious!
We do the same for the kids when they have a function. I agree- it is rude to leave in the middle like that! The school the kids go to now combines classes, but inter-works it, so that the kids are involved through out the night, even if it's a different classes turn on stage.
My husband told the music director and band director at his high school about the whole experience, and they both said that they originally had the same problem with the performances they put on. By the end of the show they were performing for about 15 people. Finally they changed the layout of their performances so that at the end of the show there was a number that all the kids were in so that parents couldn't leave when their kid was done because their kid wasn't done until the end of the show. LOL
That sounds about right!!
Cute photos!
Thanks, Marianne.
She looks so cute. I bet it was cute. Looks like she was really into it.
I wish you guys lived closer so that you didn't miss out on stuff like this, Mom. It was fun to go see.
Very cute. Looks like she enjoyed herself.
She definitely did. She loved singing the songs. She was so darn cute!
Here you go Miss Haley, a big fat 10 for a job well done.
Thanks, Pam. ; )
Very cute photos. I love the first one the best!
That was my favorite too, Christine. Thanks for commenting!
This was just so darn cute. Haley is just a buttercup.
My favorite picture is the second one. You can tell that she has picked Mom out and is smiling just for you. That is so sweet.
If I lived in your town, we would have went to her play too. Maddie has the book Peter Rabbit and she used to love me reading it to her.
She's so cute.
That was great. The kids are always so proud when their family comes to see them perform. I go to all of them I can.
Victoria , a great photo essay of the play. Haley made a lovely cabbage.A real cutie pie.
