We get frequent balloon fly-overs around here, but only twice have I seen one land, and this time, I got a chance to photograph it coming down. Now, if only it was one of the pretty ones!
My husband saw it first, and I grabbed my camera and followed him outdoors.
Still in my pajamas and robe, I managed to watch and shoot for a few minutes, as the balloon which was already on the ground unloaded and deflated. By the time it was completely deflated, a second balloon had landed, too.

That is awesome. I can honestly say I have never seen one of those near here. I would love to go up in one. It would be a grand adventure and just think of the photo ops you could get from the ride!

Cool! Several places we've lived have had landing places for hot air balloons nearby... Now we live very near an airport that hosts sky divers! They're kind of cool, too!
Thanks, all... Jean, I've always wanted to ride in a hot air balloon, and I've always wanted to skydive... maybe someday. It would be very cool to watch!
With all of those baloons nearby Julie, it shouldn't be too hard to sign up. I've done it and it was worth every penny.
I surprised my husband (now ex) on our tenth anniversary. I made all of the arrangements in advance. And I wouldn't tell him where we were going or what we were doing until we arrived. It was a really special experience. You should try it.

Wow Julie, that is so cool!!! I would love to see something like that. I am going to find out when the Hot Balloon Festival in Wappingers Falls, NY is, and see if I can get out there to get you some pictures of them. They are so very pretty, have you ever been up in one! I think I remember before you said you hadn't, but my memory is not very good :-(. I would LOVE to go up in one (I think lol). It looks like it would be so peaceful... I wonder how long the rides are? Of course, me, I'd probably have to ask what to do if I had to pee, cause I'm nervous about things like that LOL. {{HUGS}}
