Years ago when there were just one room school houses, the building was used for nearly everything in the community. School was taught there, funerals were held there, church was held there, town meetings were held there.
Then people decided that they needed a different building for each thing. Thus the building began. They build town halls for meetings. They built community centers for dinners and get togethers including parties and showers.
When the Pioneers first settled the land, they picked wild flowers to put on the graves of loved ones. Then someone thought they could make a lot of money off flowers for funerals. Thus the Flower shops were built.
Traditions have changed over the years. What was - is gone and what is - is changing. Life is always changing. If we would just pay attention to history, we would learn a lot and probably prevent a lot of the same mistakes from happening again.
It seems that the old ways are making their ways back into our lives. We are going "Green" today but in reality, we are just doing what the pioneers did all the time.
The world is like a time capsule that is opened every so many years only to be relived. It seems that life is just a circle that never ends but it does keep repeating itself. Will we ever learn from the past or are we doomed to keep reliving it?
