One pound of Boiled Elbow Macaroni, Drained and cooled
2 Cans of Tuna packed in water, drained well
8 boiled eggs, peeled and chopped
1/2 small onion, chopped finely
1/2 can of green peas, drained well
2 stalks of celery, chopped finely
8-10 green olives sliced
In large mixing bowl combine all of the above ingredients, moisten with both miracle whip and mayonaisse. Season well with salt and pepper. Let rest at least 3 hours before serving. Tastes better the second day, so is a great do ahead. Also, at my house the kids enjoy doing much of the prep for it.
4 medium Sweet Potatoes
1/2 cup Butter
2/3 cup Brown Sugar
1/2 cup Kahlua
Directions:
Boil potatoes until just tender. Peel, halve and set aside. In a heavy skillet, over medium heat, melt butter and brown sugar, stir in kahlua and cook 1 minute. Add potatoes, turn until coated & browned all over, cover, reduce heat and cook 15 minutes turning once more.
1 16 oz container of sour cream
1 box of liption veggie soup mix (both packets)
1 large scoop of hellman's mayo
mix all ingredients together well.
cover and refridgerate over night.
I am going to try those. How do you do the oriental cabbage salad?
Mom's Cabbage Salad
Finely Grated Cabbage, onion, and Carrots
Mayonaisse, and Miracle whip 50/50
Seasoned generously with salt, and pepper
Garnish with a sprinkle of paprika
chill and serve
Does not keep well. Make only enough for meal.
To this you can add a pinch of sugar and a dash of cider vinegar for a little kick. also, sweet add-ins that are yummy are raisins and crushed pineapple. This recipe is so much better than what you get from the deli or most retaurants.
desserts- pies- chocolate, butterscotch, lemon meringue, pecan, chocolate chess, etc
Please share the recipe
Leftover Mashed Potaoes
Sour Cream
Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Scallions
Bacon Cooked and Crumbled
All Layered and baked at 350F until hot and bubbly
Other things you can add are broccoli, ham or anything that would go on a baked potato. Once I substituted crumbled up tater tots and they were so good.
