Did you miss me???

My daughter and I finally returned from our trip to Sanibel Island Florida!!!  I missed Gather when I had time to think about it...  Our little vacation was supposed to be 9 days, but we extended it claiming that we had not enjoyed the sun enough due to the tropical depressions...

My husband took care of the boys, the pets, and the house on his week off from work...  I came home expecting to jump on Gather and get back to the routine, but other things popped up unexpectedly...

While taking care of everything, my husband managed to completely potty train our youngest, rearrange the entire house, and leave a monstrous mess behind for me to take care of...  He tried to tackle it all and I have to give him bonus points for that...  I came home to my very own office in the works (still needs a little help)... 

The laundry hasn't been done at all, the boys thrashed their room, dishes were piled up in the sink, and I could not find anything due to all the rearranging... 

I managed to get eaten alive by the no see ums despite repeated applications of OFF Deepwoods, which the locals recommend...  I looked like I had a rash from head to toe and itched like crazy...  My daughter got bitten by something in the bay and ended up with abcesses that had to be lanced, constantly cleaned, and rebandaged...

Now I have managed to throw my back out and school is about to start...

The good news is that I am back on Gather...  I'll be posting more about the trip later I promise!!!  I have a lot of catching up to do here if I can ever stop my Sanibel dreaming... 

We love Sanibel so very much that we are still trying to figure out how we can manage to move there!!!  We cried crossing the causeway heading to the airport, because we never wanted to leave the island...
