Well the dentist appointment to check on my daughter's loose baby tooth and erupting permanent tooth behind a tooth that's not loose went fine... She was reluctant to get in the chair, but once she did she was grinning from ear to ear from the ride when the dentist adjusted the chair...
He checked the loose tooth and the one next to it that has a tooth coming in behind it... Then he tried to wiggle them to see just how loose the one is and how anchored the other is-they both moved... So he wiggled a little more and something with the 2nd one gave a little... Now both teeth are loose where it is noticeable... He offered to pull them while I reminded her that the tooth fairy pays double for healthy teeth that have to be pulled and I really need a reason to go get ice cream... I even told her how fun it would be to just suprise the grandparents with a toothless grin... She decided not to get them pulled today...
So the projection is that both teeth will be out in the next 2 days if she wiggles them a lot... As far as the tooth coming in, we will have to wait and see what it does...
Luckily my dentist is awesome with the kids and just an overall nice guy... Since her appointment went so quickly, he asked my youngest to hop up in the chair so he could see how his big boy teeth are (my son just turned 4 last week and has never let the dentist near him)... I sat in the chair with my son in my lap and he let the dentist take a look around with the mirror... They agreed that next time they will have to polish those teeth so they can be strong like my son is...
The best part was of course the bill!!! They are not going to file it on insurance or charge for either child today!!!
Now I just have to deal with the doctor's visit for my daughter in the morning... She woke up running a fever of 103 and nausea... At least she's getting it all out of the way before we leave for Florida next Tuesday!!!
