Last hour of peace...

The kids are busy at Vacation Bible School enjoying the puppet show and The Hippopotamus Song... I planned on taking some calls this morning while they were gone, but discovered the desktop needed some routine maintenance done thanks to my daughter trying to fix it herself...

I managed to go through some stuff for the garage sale, and sadly we are parting with a lot of books... The kids have too many books!!! I have made a point of letting them have all the books they want, thinking one can never have too many books... Apparently they can... 3 bookshelves overflowing with dusty books they haven't touched in a while have now been cleaned out, but still there isn't enough room for all of their books...

So I am sitting here at the desk Gathering on the laptop, doing the maintenance on the desktop, and wondering what I should do with the last hour of peace and quiet I have for the week... The kids will still have VBS through Friday, but hubby will be home tonight with my stepson, and we will be busy with his summerschool, and the garage sale...

Whatever shall I do??? A nap would be ideal, but I wouldn't wake up in time to get the kids... I really don't want to clean, but then who does when they have a moment to themselves???

What would you do with an hour of free time... Hurry I need a brillaint idea and fast! Time is running out!

I think I would exercise. Then again, maybe you just want to sit down with a book, or go in your garden and enjoy the sound of the birds in your trees. If I had a wonderful garden, this would probably be what I would do.

read a book, gather, clean, take a nap. Any of the above! I'm home sick today and I'm just now getting onto gather. I did read for a good bit this morning. I just didn't feel like moving.

If I were you I would take advantage of what little time I had and would do whatever I liked doing. For me, I like to lie on my bed and read or sit on the couch and read. Just do whatever you feel like doing. You can clean anytime..just relax... you've been given some great ideas already form the posters above.

Zone out in front of the TV. It's almost like taking a nap and you will know what time it is by what's on and when the shows end!

I'm way late for your hour of peace, but the NEXT hour you get I would take a hot bathe and exfoliate, maybe paint your nails. What I am saying is take some real you time!!! We all need that sometimes!
