I have been missing from Gather for a while now... I have missed you all so very much!!! I must apologize formy absence and show you some of what I have been busy with...

Of course we had to get out for a weekend at the Street Rod Nationals and check out all the cars... That is just one of many car shows we have been to lately...

Then we took the kids to the Rattlesnake Roundup, so they could check out the snakes, fesivities, and try some rattler... It tastes like chicken, but is extremely boney and chewy...

The kids have been recycling aluminum cans for months now... On one of our "can walks" we came across someone who said they had some aluminum to dispose of... He asked my husband to come over later to help him load it up... Little did we know, part of that junk aluminum included a fully functioning trampoline...

I am not sure who likes it more, the kids or the dog... Our precious corgi is hiding his present in the shade the new trampoline provides...

The kids wanted to plant a garden, but with the new siding about to go up, we didn't want our efforts to go to waste by putting the garden where it would be disturbed during the siding process... The children opted for an alternate route and found coffee, tea, flour, and sugar canisters that look amazing now with their flowers in them...

They couldn't stop so we added a cake cover and turkey fryer basket to the collection...

The princess of the house requested purple hair and we obliged when she brought home a perfect report card... So we took her to the salon just before school let out and let them go wild with it... Sadly it didn't take so well and most of it has faded in very little time...

We have been at the lake about every other day for some exploring and swimming... The kids can't seem to get enough of the outdoors and can find plenty of cans lying around the lake to recycle...
So that's a small taste of what we've been up to lately... What have you been doing???

I loved all your shots in this article! The snake picture though was a bit scary! Awesome cars and trucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Loved your photo essay :))
P.S.
Did you now kool-aid (the packet without sugar) will dye your hair the color it is? And it washes out in a few washes. Just a cheap hit, for next time.
Too bad the purple hair didn't last longer.
That is a perfectly good trampoline, I wonder why the guy wanted to get rid of it? But his loss is your gain this time!
I'll be posting a photo of them shortly, so I'll be sure to add that info to the caption. Keep an eye out! *grin*
Thanks for posting to The Vacation Spot
