I am exhausted... Staying at home with a very active inquisitive 3 year old every day is reason enough for my exhaustion... He does go to preschool 2 days a week though and that "free time" I get is spent working on whatever I can accomplish that I couldn't with him here...
People so often talk about how our children are overscheduled... We have soccer and scouts-that's it... One would think that isn't too much... Right??? I am beginning to wonder how I made it this far into parenting and how I will ever survive it...
We have soccer 3 times a week (2 practices 1 game), Girl Scouts once every other week, and that is wonderful... I think the problem is all the stuff going on around this time of year is working it's make you tired magic on me... It sure is draining my checking account!!!
The school fundraiser just ended, the scout fundraiser is due in 2 days, halloween is fast approaching, the soccer league changed the rules on wearing warm clothes under their uniforms (now the undershirt must be the same color as the uniform shirt and the pants must be the same color as the shorts EXACTLY the same color), the 6 yr old needs a specific color of sweat pants and t-shirt for the upcoming play (it would be easier if it wasn't brown), I am coming down with something, the kids are still sick (yes he still has those mysterious spots), I really need to get down to the Girl Scout Council to register for the CPR class, it got cold so fast I have to figure out how to keep the kids warmer than planned in their costumes, and the saga never ends...
Oh yeah I am volunteering for the book fair to get a discount, school pictures are going for both kids, and I REALLY need to update my calendar...
How can we say that kids today are overscheduled??? I am the one who is overscheduled!!! The only real free time I have is because everyone is asleep and I am online... Note to self-if you weren't online, you'd be getting more done or sleeping. Thus eliminating the exhaustion... (I hate when I am right)
Smiles to all!!! I am laughing at my stupidity now... ;)~

You made me smile.
It does sound like you have a very
busy life though and I will send
"calming" thought your way
and wish you a good day.
in to about 2 per person. That kept us busy enough! hang in there, BF. Eventually the kids grow up and leave home and then it gets a little lonely.
