Ok, so my son Tristan isn't really chubby. He's a perfectly average-sized baby, from parents who are average-sized (me) and tall and thin (his dad). But his siblings were both extremely lean, no "roll" to them, taking after dad, so to me, those chubby little rolls of baby fat are heaven.
Tristan was 5 pounds at birth, a month or so early. He looked so much like a grumpy, fussy little old man. We watched over him closely, and he gained quickly.
Soon, we had this:

I've been very proud of myself for this, even though I know it's mostly genetics. When you're nursing them, it's easy to take credit. ;)

He's a baby that almost wasn't, a miracle I didn't expect when I thought we were done and physically I wouldn't be able to do it again, after two siblings that were rough pregnancies that were a struggle to keep 'stuck' and multiple losses.

He came along, and held on through it all, despite my not even knowing until second trimester, sailing through til the sudden need for an emergency c-section a few weeks early, then took off and thrived.

To me, he is God (Source, the Universe, Grandfather, Creator, whatever term you have for All That IS) saying: "You are loved, you are watched over, always. Even when you don't think so. Even when things are hard and there seems no way things could get better. I am still with you."
Miracles happen. Perhaps not always as we think, wish, or expect. But they happen. Sometimes our true parents aren't our biological parents. Sometimes our child isn't one we ourselves gave birth to. Sometimes the doctors are completely wrong. Often what seems a very painful event in our lives has a silver lining that puts us in a place to be yet more blessed than we ever imagined. Miracles happen every day. He is my absolute proof of that.

Look at those cute little chubby cheeks. I cannot see them without smiling, no matter what else is happening. It's infectious.
