The morning started out warm (around 6am)... By 8 it was cold and raining... Then around 11 the rain had passed... The sun was shining brightly and warmth was in sight once again... However, the wind picked up and the breeze was nice... Still, you had to be in the sun to feel the warmth... Sitting outside was nice despite the warm and cool changes constantly...
The leaves are changing colors and beginning to cover the yard... I was enjoying just sitting and taking in the changes, when I noticed something quite strange in the air... Every few seconds I would catch a glimpse of something glistening in the sun's light... It was floating back and forth in the wind... Amazed by this phenomenon and thinking I was seeing things, I became mesmerized by it...
In my 28 years, I have never seen this occurence... I called for the kids when I realized what was happening... The floating glistening things were spider webs... It was watching the end of Charlotte's Web in real life... The little baby spiders were floating freely all around us, headed off to make their way on their own...
Despite my dislike of creepy crawly little (or big) spiders, this was a most wonderous site... Of course, the children had to holler thier "good byes" at the little spiders, as the spiders had done in Charlotte's Web... Now still in awe of the beauty of it all, I find myself a little freaked out... Then again, the whole experience was so rare....
I need a shower... Much like the weather, I cannot make up my mind...
