The trip to the library...a photo essay!

Every Friday we go to the library. It's a time when I can really get out of the house and not have to worry about being stuck in my corner desk at home. So last week we took pictures to show you our trip.

The kids get bored while waiting for the bus...so they start doing silly things.

When we finally get on the bus and get there we need to cross the road....

But my son gets impatient so he just stands there looking at us funny....

He decides he will just take over pushing my cart to the library....

Finally we get to the library.....

The kids section is upstairs so we take the elevator up!

My son just stands there waiting....

My son looks for a book...

And then starts to read it....

After picking the books its time to go downstairs to check them out....

So we take the elevator down.....

And then its time to leave...until we come back again next week!

What a great trip Taylor. My kids loved going to the library also, they went every other week when they were small and looked forward to all the new books to read. Your son is so cute, love those silly faces he likes to make.

So awesome to see someone taking their kid to the library! I love books. Through generous donations of family and friends we have a personal library of over 3000 books and yet I still go to the library constantly. What a wonderful place and so much fun to be there with your child.

Libraries are a necessity in our life. My daughter and I are never without a book to read and the library has become the first place she gets some independence as twice a week I drop her off there to do her homework with her friend while I take her brother to karate. We have moved quite often and the location of schools and libraries are always a prerequisite when we are looking for a place to rent. A library must be within short driving distance (bike riding distance is even better!). We ride bikes to there once in a while as well. It's great exercise for me and a nice family outing. They love the library and it gives me some peace and quiet for a while because they can't yell and fight while we're there! Everyone wins!

Fun...we go every Tuesday...for singing & dancing & then we look at books & play with the toys they have there & then now we have added playing a computer game onto that LOL. Oh & I just realized they have CDs & Movies at the library & we rented a few this last week...I never heard of Franklin the Turtle, but I KNOW HIM NOW!!! LOL My boy had to watch it OVER & OVER & OVER again! There has never been a show that has caught his attention more than this one! It's pretty cute. But Franklin can seem a bit needy too much too & now that I am writing this I am realizing that I know now why my boy says he can't do stuff! DANG! Ok no more Franklin LOL! ;o)
