At an evemt scheduled for 4:00pm today in Boston, Mitt Romney will throw his support behind John McCain.
The former Republican Presidential candidate, with this endorsement, could help pull together the conservatives who have felt that McCain just isn't conservative enough.
McCain already has 843 of the 1191 delegates needed to take the nomination. Mike Huckabee, the only other contender at this time, has 242 delegates.

I am going to leave your last comment on the board. Let it be known, MR KENT, that I served 22 years protecting YOU, your Rights AND your kind! WHAT have you done for U.S.????
JOHN MCCAIN FOR PRESIDENT!!!!
What an ass.
Did you get to choose which of our rights you wanted to protect and which you wanted to ignore? (I'm of Clark's "ilk")
Censorship is fascism , fascist.
If anyone wishes to carry-on an intelligent conversation about the ARTICLE......
What is this, propaganda for devoted service to the Fatherland.
When do free people say, "You owe something, this thing, or everything" to the national government.
Sounds neo-fascist to me.
McCain is cruising to the nomination with or without Romney.
I am sceptical that the bad blood between them can be papered over with a frozen speech.
It is a nice gesture, but it seems like a gesture.
Love the way you repugniCons twist free speech.
Is that why you love the great constitution destroyer boosh.
Love the troops hate the illegal immoral murderous war.
I don't think so.
Any DEMOCRAT for pres , no more lying criminal neocons.
When do free people say, "You owe something, this thing, or everything" to the national government.
Sounds neo-fascist to me."
I don't know, it sounds rather close to JFK's: And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country.
Or are you calling JFK a neo-fascist as well?
They dont have any respect for someone who served this country. Thanks, for your service. I am glad that you are sticking up for something that you believe in.
As for the article, I was shocked to hear that Mitt chose to endorse McCain. I dont know what their game plan is. It is most interesting to see how things will unfold. Good article.
Teresa....I agree that there isn't a whole lot of difference between McCain and Romney. BUT sometimes opposing forces must combine their efforts for a common cause. Huckabee's chance of securing the nomination are nil. (second fiddle, maybe) On this past Wednesday, McCain met with the House Republican leadership to try to hash out their differences and asked them to help pull the party together.
McCain may not be the BEST choice for President but he beats the alternatives hands-down.
Typical of the love-it-or-leave-it neo-fascists.
Kennedy invited people to do something for the whole, Ivan yells, "You owe me".
You really can't tell a difference?
I didn't think so.
No one in this world owes ME anything. My service was for The United States!! I "did" for U.S.
These were Clark Kent's words...."How the hell do these assholes get to live in this country, when they can't stand anything that it stands for? Makes me literally sick to my stomach."
No one, ABSOLUTELY NO ONE, should imply that I do not stand for this country or it's principles! ESPECIALLY someone who claims Krypton and Metropolis as HOME.
You have to understand Clark Kook wears a tin foil hat and lives in his momma's basement. Did you see Live Free or Die Hard? Kevin smith plays a movie version of Clark, one of those sad angry people who have all the answers.
Thanks for you service, it wasn't in vain. Unfortunately there are too many who take their freedom so for granted they fail to realize to cost in blood and lives it took to make their comfortable lives possible. So they may have the opportunity to bite the hand that feeds their freedom.
Rigged Diebold voting machines will push Clinton in, "Bush 2003 in Florida"-style if too many Reps show up to vote for McCain.
Elections have become nothing more than a huge "distracting" side show.
