Lisa and I got into LA last night and have been setting up all day for the first of two debates. Round one - The Rebuplicans face off at the Regan Library in Simi Valley. Round Two- Clinton and Obama face off at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood!

Standing room only in one of three packed rooms at Cinespace on Hollywood Blvd.

Lisa and I are heading off to bed now after two great Debate-Watching parties with our partners KTLA and KPCC here in Los Angeles.

Well, if "freshness" equals smug then I would agree with Lisa and Joe. I've been watching these two (Romney, McCain) go at each other tonight. And like the dems, all the others are virtually ignored. Too bad for us.

McCain will keep us in Iraq forever. Romney is just a sad bozo. Dr. Paul doesn't have a chance even though he is the most interesting, (and he would be tortured in a general election for his view on race).

Tomorrow is the real deal.

Anyway, I hope you have a great time in L.A. Thanks for the post.

it was really interesting seeing who seems to be on the fence when it comes to making a choice on the republican ticket. there is a new party trying to define what they are and the republicans seem to be in the same place the democrats were in 2000. its nice to see civic interest and gather.com is a great place to get caught up. see you on Thursday for the dems...

The Republicans have been too strident these past twenty years. They will have to retool and reorganize to remain viable as a party. I look forward to their future. Maybe, I will be able to vote Republican again, someday.
