I am curious as to how many women here realize the majority of people graduating from Journalism, Broadcasting, and Film Schools today are women. Did you know the percentage is approaching 70%. More and more women are heading up Production Companies, Post Production Companies and Advertising Agencies. It may not be true in other industries, but women are beginning to dominate the television industry. Part of this is due to the vast amount of programming being aimed at women, and part of it is due to the fact that women have repeatedly proven themselves equal to the tasks that used be done by men. You will find women engineers, directors, camera operators, audio operators, graphic designers, and CGI experts in much greater numbers than just 5 years ago. Is there a price to be paid for this? Yes there is. One "gentleman" here on gather called me a "butch girl" because he didn't think I was worthy to comment on his video.
Be prepared, girls. The industry is ours as long as we are willing to have our sexuality questioned by insecure men!
And, for the record my boyfriend of 3 years and I are getting married this coming January. "giggle"

Questioning sexuality is as old as the hills, or maybe as old as your "critic", the days are sweeping through and controlling the media is ALWAYS a good thing :)
