Hi to you all,
I want to introduce some ideas of what we will be sharing and hope you will have some input as well. What kinds of subjects do you want to cover, what do you want to learn about, what resources, books are you wanting, etc?
I believe there are quite a few of you out there who are living rural, simple and offgrid already and have much to share with the rest of us. There are also those who haven't bought land or moved out of the city but want to begin with living simple right where you are. This is still the place for you.
You don't have to be anti-social to live away from the hub bub of the city but some of you may choose to be less social just because of the demands of keeping up with where your at and enjoying it. I have my own business and commute quite a bit. Most of my business is online and by phone as well as some in person consultation with clients. I also choreograph and teach dance(although that is done for the summer). Teaching dance has required me to go where the young people are that I work with.
How many of you work from home, have your own businesses, etc? How many of you still live in the city or commute back to the city for a job(one or both you and a spouse)?
I'd like all to share about buying land, where we live, what we are doing, etc.
I have ideas that others may not find important, such as I don't care to have power lines encroaching on my property. How about you do you care about that or just want to live out of the city?
I hope to share about the nitty gritty of living off the land, raising a garden, cutting wood, raising cattle chickens, butchering time, making butter, soaps, candles, etc. What do you want to learn about or share?
Until next time,
Offgrid Girl
