Most of the other comment writers notice right away. I don't get upset but other people do it for me. People should have the gist of the article before they comment.

Probably me, but I just say to myself "thanks a lot" and then go read the comments of the people who did read or look,,, sometimes I'll leave a generic comment on something if I can't say anything nice,, but again that's just me.

That doesn't bother me. It's when people post articles to my group that has nothing at all to do with the group. Then I have to spend time deleting them.

I haven't really run into that problem, but I would not have a problem with it per se. I guess it depends on what they did say. If I don't feel comfortable addressing an article, I will try to find something nice to say in general, and that would be okay with me.

I don't mind odd comments on my work. Whatever. No time or energy to get angry. What does try my patience are people who post a myriad of articles or images to my moderated groups that are outside the boundaries of the group. It makes me think that the person not only didn't read or understand my article describing the group, but they haven't read the description at all. It makes me wonder what my groups would look like if I didn't moderate them. Interesting question. :)

I think sometimes the printed word has the odd habit of being misunderstood sometimes -- some folks really just didn't "get" what the writer was trying to say. Or of course there are others just trying to comment wherever they can mindlessly plodding on with no real point and . . . . But really the main thing I can't stand is when someone posts the same exact thing all the time as a comment. I rarely see it but it's really not that hard to come up with something even marginally original.

I do especially when they answer with a comment that is not what you asked to begin with on your article. Like you are not asking whether or not something should be done by so and so but other finer points of some issuess.

Such as ok we should not smoke around our kids... ok i got that.. but what about the car three vehicles behind where they don't have kids and their smoke is going near my kids... how is that fair, they can smoke in their vehicle and I cannot.

you will get a lot of people answering very negatively about how you should not smoke around your kids and how you are being neglectful if you do..

its like hello peps.. we know that duh... we want to know about the finer point to the issue...

that is what irritates me.
