Anything i do today, I regard as urgent. No man is given but so much time to accomplish whatever is his life's work. -FROM- THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF MALCOLM X

It is an interesting quote. I agree with the later part but not the first part.
Realistically you cannot look at all things as urgent; and really need to distinquish between the urgent and important from the urgent and unimportant and the not urgent and not important. You also need to make sure you include the non urgent but important; such as maybe your families attention?
To truly accomplish your lifes work; you need to make sure you fulfill doing as much of the important as you can and not letting the urgent unimportant things get in the way.
I really find it sad that Malcolm X was killed before he seemed to meet his potential. But perhaps he did accomplish what God wanted him to.
Col. 2 Also his son will be called the Great, and be designated by his name. He will be called the Son of God, they will call him the son of the most high. But like the meteors that you saw in your vision, so will be their kingdom. They will reign only a few years over the land, while people tramples people and nation tramples nation.
4Q285 Frag. 1 And he blessed them before Israel and said in response Israel, blessed are you in the name of God most high who...and blessed is his holy name forever and ever and blessed are his true works and blessed are all his holy angels. May God most high bless you, and shine his face upon you and open his good treasure for which is in heaven to bring down upon your land showers of blessing, dew and rain both early and late in their season to give you bountiful fruit, grain, fresh wine and oil abundantly
In context of the end of his life and that understanding; I can agree with the comment. In context of life for most of us; I stand by my comment.
I think he accomplished a lot in his life and it is sad that his life was snuffed out when it was. He was on a great spiritual journey; and was growing to be a great man. As I understand it from his autobiography; he started out his journey believing the races could not live together and thought that blacks should have their own nation; as after his journey to Mecca, he realized that disparate races could live together. He was no longer valued by members of the black separtist movement that was strong in those days.
