For those not familiar with WitchSchool, they are a Wiccan school that provides on-site and on-line training based on the Correllian tradition (http://www.witchschool.com/). A few of their courses and their first degree program are free (I am currently taking it). They also have a variety of other courses not directly related to Wicca. The school attempts to entice you to buy a lifetime membership of $50 which will get you access to more courses and their 2nd and 3rd degree programs, chat rooms, BOS, the ability to print certificates of completion, etc.
The school had alot of problems both financially and politically since its inception. A recent underground film called Hoopeston is currently being shown at film festivals which documents the schools earlier struggles with the local townsfolk.
Last year, the school put themselves out for auction on eBay last year to help them overcome financial problems. This obviously caused alot of controversy. Today the school is a private shareholder company and appear to be doing well with several new books and an increasing student load.
Alot of today's solitary witches claim to be learning the craft via books, why not the internet?![]()
