1 Peter 5:8-9 (New Living Translation)
8 Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. 9 Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your Christian brothers and sisters all over the world are going through the same kind of suffering you are.
We have to be alert by self-control! We have to make ourselves read the Bible, stay in prayer and stay close to God so we can be alert and not give satan any room to get into our lives. He is roaming the world looking for people that have left their door open in such a way has having been slack in their Bible Study, prayer life and drawing close to God and he is ready to step right in that empty space and start working. We have to stand firm again satan by continually studying our Bible and praying and going to church and continually learning more about God and drawing closer to God. We can stand firm in our faith knowing we are not the only one in the world going through our troubles and trials and challenges. There are many other brothers and sisters in Christ that are going throught the same challenges, trials, and troubles that we are. We are not alone, stand firm in your faith and God is always there by your side to guide you through whatever trials you face.
“Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.”-

We are weak in human-nature, thats why we need "God" in a Daily Walk with Him.

Footprints
One night a man had a dream. He dreamed He was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from His life. For each scene He noticed two sets of footprints in the sand. One belonging to Him and the other to the LORD.
When the last scene of His life flashed before Him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of His life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of His life.
This really bothered Him and He questioned the LORD about it. LORD you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me.
The LORD replied, my precious, precious child, I Love you and I would never leave you! During your times of trial and suffering when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.
