Are you always in the search for easier ways to get things accomplished? I am. I want to get the same results but easier and quicker. I was sitting here watching my MIL sit and look at her mail, something to help her pass her time and I was wondering what each one of you have learned to do much easier and quicker than you used to do it.
I have learned, which not really learned this I always knew it but just now decided I better do it since my time is cut shorter with being caregiver of my MIL, as I take my clothes off to put my jammies on at night, I automatically hang them up. I used to have the bad habit of laying them on the cedar chest at the foot of our bed and then letting them stay there. Messy, huh? no more. I hand them up and put them away and now my room looks much neater. That cuts on my housekeeping time also.
While I am emptying the dishwasher and reloading it, I also clean the cabinet top and sink while I am right there.
I have a to -do notebook that i put everything that needs to be done in and that way I don't forget to do it. I don't have to worry about trying to remember what I am supposed to do so that takes away some stress.
Tell me what you have simplified in your life. God bless you!

The Japanese have this idea where one makes the least amount of movements as possible when completing a task. I follow this principle too.
I do tidy my bathroom each morning so when I come home it's not junky from the morning!
Now that I'm by myself I still do it although I just do it to a favorite tv show.
