I Spent A Lazy Saturday Morning Just Looking UP!

Wow, Katie, what beautiful photos........such a beautiful blue sky......the clouds look so puffy and soft.......really neat!  It's a beautiful, sunny (but very humid and hot) day here in Iowa!

Very nice sky photos.

I was once a weather observer for the U.S. Weather Bureau and for an airline, so I really enjoy pictures of clouds. These are really good, So good, in fact, that many years ago I could have looked at these and estimate their altitude within a few dozen feet.

Wow George, that must have been a very interesting field.  I'm glad you liked the photos.  I just kept snapping away as they looked so pretty today.

And you do that so well. It doesn't seem to matter -- clouds, bugs, flowers, whatever. Thanks.

You're very welcome.  We've had rain in the evenings for a few nights now and the threat is passed until early next week.  It was nice to sit out there for a while just doing NOTHING.

Lol. Yes Richard, I used to live up there, remember? Up there the mountains would get in the way.  Here you just see sky.  I can only imagine what Texas looks like since they are noted for their 'big sky'.

Mountains? We are having a wet cool season (Spring and Summer) blue sky would be nice about now. Then I could see the mountains!

I was across the river from you in the town of Poughkeepsie and I know, you couldn't see anything very far as there were mountains all around us.  Even going to the park by the river, you didn't see much more sky than normal.

I remember one Spring when I lived up there it rained for 3 week straight. My back yard was a lake.  I'd have needed a canoe to visit my back neighbor, lol.  I'll take our mild winters and extreme summers before I deal with that again.  I don't even like to go back up to visit family.

I did the same while I went swimming today,,  I float on my floater and gaze in the sky,,  no camera due to me losing it in the water,,,

What a great way to spend the day. ;)  Beautiful clouds!  I love the fat fluffy ones that look like you could just reach right up and grab one. :)  We have a bunch of clouds...but of course they are dark rain clouds.  I swear it's rained everyday since Spring..lol

Were you laying down in the back yard on your back ? That was always cool to be able to do that ! Of course I was younger !

I didn't even think about taking cloud pictures while we were out today..
