Every year, Pasadena , Ca. Has a Rose Parade, on the first of January. It has been
happening since 1890.
My daughter decided to take her two boys; Robby and Christopher. You have to sit from December 31st at 12:00 midnight P.M. Starts at 8:00 A.M. on the first.
They have gone every year since they have been born, we live on Colorado and Park wood, for ten years now. It goes from Old town Pasadena, on Colorado to Sierra Madre Blvd. It is about a 5.5 mile route.
All the floats are made of petals, seeds and roots. When the floats pass by you can smell the fragrant of the flowers.
If you would like to see all the parade and bands, so forth, you can go to Rose Parade on line, here are a few.

Great pictures.
Thank you
I remember a time I would wait all night for concert tickets... and I do love a parade......
no been a few years since I would wait all night!
Oh yes, thank you for the lovely pictures.
Nice photo essay.
I used to have a girlfriend named Dee Dee....Dee Dee Ponticelli to be exact. Very poetic name, eh? I also have fond memories of the Rose Bowl and is parade. I spent an entire night sleeping-out on the sidewalks of Pasadena with my church group, so we could get a good spot for viewing the parade. One year, after the parade was over, we went to where they park the floats for several days, so people can get a good close-up of each float. THAT was fun!
Nice to see a Valley Girl here at Gather.

Blessings to you and yours always...
