If you see a small white butterfly passing too fast that it is hard to spot one where it appears. It may not be small but it can be a Water Snow Flat passing in front of you. It is a mysterious butterfly hard to spot even if it is there in your garden. Because most of the time it hides behind leafs. It won’t move slowly but fast enough even you couldn’t recognize it. You can spot only its white tail while flying too fast.
This is the nature’s technique to fool its predators. The predators find only a small white thing rushing, most often they avoid it. Even if they catch one it gets only the tip of the tail; the Water Snow Flat escapes. This butterfly has big eyes, if you see it in an angle you remember some sort of imitation with a bat. These butterflies love sunshine and occasionally bask.
Suffused Snow Flat is commonly found where Water Snow flat is seen. On flight it is difficult to identify. This is larger than Water Snow flat. The difference between these two butterflies is in the white markings on the tail.
